05/08/2022 - A wall that divides us

Created in just two days using Lightwave 5.0 and rendered with Amiga 1200 Micronik, equipped with a Blizzard 1240 accelerator and 128MB of RAM. The image was viewed and converted to JPG using ArtEffect 4.0 software through the ZZ9000 graphics card. The rendering time was 16 hours and 39 minutes, utilizing maximum antialiasing. I chose to use two spotlights with raytraced shadows, which undoubtedly doubled the calculation time! As with almost all my works, I used procedural textures for the wall and grass. The humanoid figures (male and female) are the same in all my works, patiently modeled back in 1994 when I was a young boy using an Amiga 1200 without an FPU and with only 2MB of chip RAM, using LW 3.5nofpu software.

CONTEXT:
Two people who are physically not so far apart but separated by a thick wall of silence, probably thinking about each other, and just one word would be enough to break down all barriers, returning them to happiness. A name that has never been spoken for years, not even once.

Personal considerations regarding participation

The image was opened in ArtEffect 4.0 and displayed on a Commodore 1930 Monitor with the ZZ9000 graphics card.

Lightwave 5.0 software displayed on a 28-inch Grundig TV in AGA video mode.
