28-07-2024 Telepathy

After years of continuous sensations, I take my Amiga 1200 and start working with Lightwave to give shape to my reflections on the theme of telepathy. I download two detailed models of a man and a woman from the web to insert the two large side faces seen in the scene, as my old humanoids created in my youth are too rough for a close-up. Of the downloaded models, only the torso was kept since the number of polygons for Lightwave was too high! So, I also downloaded a texture of our planet from the web, which I then applied to a globe in Modeler. Subsequently, I placed my old male and female models to represent the distance on Earth.

Using the Vertieletric plugin, I created the mental connection energy between the two people, applying the Glow brightness. Finally, a grid of parallelepipeds with a red line overlaid was created through Modeler to indicate the fabric of the Universe, with a flow of thought passing through it.

The Amiga in question did not struggle to render this image with the 68040 processor, as there were no reflections or refractions. Only one central light was sufficient, so the calculation, aside from the number of polygons, was not complicated.

CONTEXT:
Once in a lifetime, a bond can form between two people, often indissoluble, provided it arises in a unique situation of total compatibility, stemming from a deep feeling. Thus, a telepathic connection is triggered that does not take into account the distance on the globe or the years that have passed. Life may eventually separate two people forever, but the connection remains. The contact is not of words or phrases but of emotions, feelings, moods, and a sense of continuous presence... No matter how much one chooses not to think about it by keeping busy with a thousand tasks, it is something that does not diminish. Like a line branching out through the grid that makes up the matrix of the universe to connect two precise points. It is not a fantasy but something that truly exists!
