I created this image starting from the previous one, 'Rain from the Window.' In fact, I recycled the same scene, moving the humanoid to the other side of the wall but in a different position. Then, I added the sidewalk and the surrounding terrain. The atomic mushroom on the horizon was recreated by making a separate scene in Lightwave (shown on this webpage below).

It took quite a while to complete everything due to the combination of two different works. Additionally, the final rendering took several hours not only because of its complexity but also because I had to perform multiple rendering passes for certain objects, lights, and cameras as they required multiple positioning attempts.

As usual for me, the image resolution was set to 1280x1024 pixels, with maximum rendering and antialiasing, along with a blur effect on the rain. The rendering time in the last calculation this morning was just over 10 hours on a 40mhz 68040 Amiga.

CONTEXT:
One wonders if the world's powerful leaders, at some point, chose a convenient territory to initiate an absurd war, with a prior agreement aimed at future economic gains?! Without caring at all about the people living in that area... As often happens, however, things eventually spiral out of control, and in an instant, everything becomes irreparable.
An unexpected explosion on the horizon, a desperate person leaning against a wall under the falling rain.
