I had been mentally planning this image all summer, and finally, during these study break days, since I completed my last three osteopathy exams on Saturday, I set to work to create it. It wasn't a complicated job, as in Metaform I modeled the figure of a cat in a rough way and then smoothed it out later... So the male cat's tail is mirrored towards that of the female cat. They are actually the same object but copied, inverted, and then scaled down.

The two animals use procedural textures, and the same goes for the bump. Amiga Micronik with Terrible Fire 68060 took little time for rendering, with all parameters set to maximum. The roof texture is just a photo of old tiles on a parallelepiped. Meanwhile, the background image of the double star had been stored on my computer for years.

CONTEXT:

The tranquility of a roof, where two cats without thoughts or worries enjoy together the contemplation of an 'anciently' dedicated double star... They are such perfect, immovable animals. Sometimes when I deal with mine here at home, I feel like I am the one submitting to their will and not the other way around! I have been accompanied by felines all my life. I often think of my Gerry (Gigio), who was with me from 1985 until 2007.
