For a few months now, I've been revisiting everything related to Percy Fawcett, although it's true that I've always followed this British explorer who lived over a century ago. At the turn of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century, he undertook many adventures in the Amazon rainforest. He was perhaps the first adventurer to hypothesize that centuries ago, that region of the world could have hosted a dense network of roads and organized urbanized cities... An advanced civilization that developed independently from the European bloc. In particular, he was searching for the fabled city 'Z', which perhaps did not coincide with El Dorado... His thoughts were sparked by some pebbles found in the middle of 'nowhere' while searching for the sources of the Rio Negro. It is not known if he ever found it, as he disappeared at one point, along with his eldest son. Today we know he wasn't wrong, and that highly developed civilizations have succeeded each other in South America for millennia, thanks also to modern LIDAR technology.

CONTEXT: I like Fawcett; I would like to emulate him with my walking adventures, which I will gradually develop around the world. I intend to further develop the Weekly Mono-training Technique that I developed years ago to complete very long distances on foot. I feel that Travel Trails are the next logical step for the evolution of my training method. I trust that all this will lead me to new exciting walking adventures in remote places.
